Stokelyvale lead Tobago Under-14s in UTC series

BIWATER Stokelyvale shut out Scarborough RC 6-0 to take a three-point lead atop the Tobago Zone in this year’s Unit Trust Under-14 National Football Championships. After 11 minutes at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet, Tobago, on Tuesday, Omar Charles opened the scoring with the first of his double. Rensel Jack who also netted twice, increased the lead in the 23rd minute and Kerwin Simon added his quota in the 28th before Charles got his second in the 32nd.


Rensel Jack completed his double in the 51st minute and brother Runarko Jack rounded off the scoring with a 62nd minute strike. In the other match of the double header, Scarborough Secondary edged Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix 2-1. Akeel Smith sent Scarborough ahead in the 19th minute, but Obasi Hamlett got the equaliser in the 28th. The teams battled for ascendency until Osei Benjamin scored what turned out to be the winner in the 66th minute.
