Suicide after gym work-out

AFTER a domestic dispute over coming home late from the gym, a 19-year-old Point Fortin woman ended her life by drinking an insecticide, police said yesterday. Suzette Samaroo was rushed to the Point Fortin Area hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Police reports indicate that around 6.10 pm an argument ensued at her home at Hollywood Road when a relative inquired of her why she had returned home late from the gym at Mahaica. Police said the teenager subsequently ingested an insecticide. Around 7.25 pm she was rushed for medical attention but doctors could do nothing to save her life. An autopsy is expected to be conducted on Monday. Point Fortin Police are continuing investigations.
