St Barb’s man charged with Summerfest robbery

A St Barb’s man appeared yesterday before Port-of-Spain Fourth Court Magistrate   Avison Quinlan  charged with robbery at the Summerfest concert held on Saturday at the Queen’s Park Sav-annah. Keron Haynes, 20, pleaded not guilty to the offence and was remanded in custody to re-appear on August 23. According to reports, members of the PoS Task Force on duty at the show held a man with a quantity of jewelry shortly before patrons at the show went on a rampage, pelting the police. As the man was being led out of the show, a female patron walked up and identified him as the man who robbed her. Police seized seven pieces of jewelry, three of which have since been identified. Two  witnesses have refused to press charges. WPC Brown laid the charge and is investigating.
