Stone‘s opponent fails to show

Stewart Perkins beat Clayton Mitchell 6-0, 6-0 in their Men’s Singles match on the second day of the Evian National Open Tennis Championships on yesterday at the Port-of-Spain Public Courts. The margin of victory was reflected in the other matches played. Out of his match against Roy Peters, Michael Cooper merged 6-1, 6-0 winner while Dunstan Denoon secured a 6-0, 6-0 win over Matthew Adamira.

The highly anticipated Shane Stone/Leon Fraser match-up carded for Court One fizzled in the evening sun. Fraser was unable to take the court and Stone cruised to victory on a walkover. Also benefitting in similar fashion was Simon Everest who was scheduled to play Swaran Maharaj on Court Two.
