SANDO Giants win six-penalty match

EARTH San Fernando Giants advanced to the second round of the Executive Cup in the Petrotrin Southern Football Association Super League with a 4-3 victory over Police, in a game which featured six penalty kicks. And the winners scored their four goals from the spot, one each by Stephen Byer, Darryl Pope, Shawn Lynch and Junior Forgenie. Shawn Rosal got the only goal from open play for the lawmen, while Kelon Williams and Noel Francis scored penalties.

Also advancing were Point Fortin Civic Centre who shut out Barrackpore United 3-0. Septimus Toussaint, Kevin Hunte and Masimba Hope scored a goal each for the “Black City” men. P&E Electrical Diamonds United whipped Rangers FC 5-3 in another game, while Bewil Esperanto Penal All Stars dumped Ocean View Samba Youths 4-0 on a double by Roger Garcia and other goals frm Shay Sutherland and Andre Quashie.
