Churches must help ‘latchkey’ kids

THE EDITOR: The Servol model will serve Trinidad and Tobago well if adopted by all the churches, mosques and temples throughout the country. Unsupervised children and latchkey kids as they are termed today, should be provided after-school care (Government subsidised) at the halls of these “houses of worship.”

This will go a long way in stemming the tide of delinquent youth in our society. So simple yet so complicated by talk, talk, talk. The IRO should hang their heads in shame for not taking a stance. Just take a look at our youths roaming the streets daily.
