Lara gets diplomatic passport

WEST INDIES cricket captain Brian Lara will be presented with a diplomatic passport by acting Prime Minister Joan Yuille-Williams today. The handing-over ceremony will take place at 9.30 am at the Prime Minister’s office at Whitehall. According to a news release, the passport was awarded to the 35-year-old Lara after he reclaimed his individual Test highest score of 400 not out against England at St John’s, Antigua, in April this year.
