Rain aborts Angostura clash

Heavy and persistent rain aborted the second match yesterday of the four-match Angostura Classic series between XS XI and White Oak XI at the National Cricket Centre (NCC), Balmain Couva. The match was bowled out without a ball being bowled and chairman of the senior selection panel Dudnath Ramkessoon said the fixture will be re-scheduled for Thursday at the same venue. The first match of the series was washed out on Saturday after only two hours play. The series will be now be played as a three-match affair, starting Thursday and continuing through Saturday and Sunday. The national team to play in the regional limited overs series in Guyana from October 8, will be selected at the end of the tournament.
