Savannah Boys unbeaten in windball

TUNAPUNA Savannah Boys remained the only unbeaten team in the Seenath Auto/Caribbean Glass Specialist-sponsored Savannah Boys Windball Cricket League following a crushing seven-wickets victory over Block Masters. The Masters reached 92 for six in their allotted overs with Glen Percival scoring 48. But the Savannah Boys rattled off 93 losing only three wickets in the process. Winners scored a thrilling three-run victory over Upsetters also on Sunday last, following a sound all-round performance by Ryan Brusco. The Winners totalled 72 with Brusco hitting a top score 20, then he took three wickets for nine runs and with Steve Mejias three for 14, routed Upsetters for  69. Brusco also feature prominently when Winners dumped Dollar Touch by six wickets. He scored 24 runs in Winners’ 106 for four wickets, second top score behind 15-year-old Avian Mejias’ 28, replying to the Dollar Touch total of 104 for six, of which Barry Nicholas scored 34 not out.
