Laventille man charged with salesman’s murder

A 26-year-old man of Eastern Quarry, Laventille, will appear before a Port-of-Spain magistrate today charged with the murder of Chaguanas cell-phone salesman/manager Shazard Mohammed. The man was arrested in an exercise on Tuesday night at Eastern Quarry around 10 pm. The exercise was coordinated by Snr Supt Errol Denoon. Mohammed, 24, of Dinoo Street in Charlieville, was shot dead and robbed of $6,000 on Readymix Road in Success Village, Laventille, on August 25. He was sitting in his car, awaiting a client when he was shot.
