P/Town man shot in Malick

A Princes Town man is in a stable condition after being shot in Malick. According to reports, while looking for a man to conduct business on Seventh Avenue in Malick around 7 pm on Monday, Peter Lutchmansingh, 40, and his friend were confronted by two armed men. The men ordered them to lie face down on the ground, and then fired several shots at them. While his friend was not injured, Lutchmansingh was shot in his back, and the bullet exited through his stomach. The injured man was rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery, and is now in a stable condition. Cpl Maraj of the San Juan Police Station is investigating.
