No lawyer for murder accused

A 26-year-old man appeared yesterday before a Port-of- Spain magistrate charged with the murder of Chaguanas cell phone salesman/manager, Shazard Mohammed. Ryan Preston Taylor of Eastern Quarry in Laventille, who appeared before Magistrate Lianne Lee Kim in the Port-of-Spain Fourth Court, was not represented by counsel. It is understood the accused will be jointly charged for the offence, but sources told Newsdsay the accomplice had not yet been held. Taylor was arrested during a police exercise  Tuesday night in the area in which he lived. Mohammed, 24, of Dinoo Street  in Charlieville, was shot dead and robbed of $6,000 on Readymix Road, Success Village, Laventille August 25. He was sitting in a car awaiting a client when the incident occurred. Taylor will re-appear in court on September 21.
