Man’s body found with stab wounds in Arouca
The body of an East Indian man with stab wounds was discovered at Market Street, Arouca, early yesterday. Reports revealed that around 4 am yesterday, a passerby saw the body of a man lying next to a car, registration number PAW 1820. Officers of the Homicide Unit were alerted and a party of officers led by Snr Supt Farouk Ghany and including Inspector Hansraj, Ag Insp Johnny Abraham, Sgt Ragoonanan and others went to the scene.
The man who was in his late 30s had no identification on his body or in the car. Three men and a woman were seen running away from the crime scene. Police investigators believe that the man was robbed and then stabbed. Police investigators are calling on members of the public to assist them in identifying the victim.
