Saith is acting PM

PUBLIC Administration and Information Minister Dr Lenny Saith will act as Prime Minister from today. This was confirmed yesterday by Prime Minister Patrick Manning on the eve of his departure to the United States. Manning is expected to leave TT today at 9.05 am and will visit the Bahamas, to discuss the ways in which TT can help that nation recover from the damages inflicted there by Hurricane Frances. He then goes to New York to attend the 59th United Nations General Assembly, Accompanying Manning on his trip will be Education Minister Hazel Manning, Community Development Minister Joan Yuille-Williams (who normally acts as PM during Manning’s absence) and Foreign Affairs Minister Knowlson Gift.
