PM for North/South windball cricket

PRIME MINISTER Patrick Manning has been invited to meet the players before the start of the inaugural North vs South men windball cricket showdown at the Pleasantville Community Complex tonight. The Prime Minister has also donated a trophy to go to the winners of the game which is timed to begin at 6 pm. Hollister Pajotte of Powerplay will lead the Southerners, while Christopher Juba will be at the helm of the North team.


And San Fernando Mayor Ian Atherly will meet players in the women version before bowling the first ball. Also listed to meet the players is Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs Minister Joan Yuille-Williams. TT ex-national players Camel Khan and Kathleen Jacob will lead the women teams. Tonight’s games is a culmination of the 8th edition of the Juniors Sports Club-sponsored Windball Cricket League, in the 55th year of existence of the once top Southern football teams.
