Not too far away at Clarke Road in Penal, reigning champions Queen’s Park Cricket Club sounded a clear warning to all potential title contenders as they pulled off a 32-run victory over home team First Citizens Clarke Road. Batting first, the visitors were dismissed for 260 in 49.2 overs with Marlon Barclay leading the charge with his knock of 91. Jeremy Solozano also looked good, chipping in with 80 runs.
