Mom, dad, baby hospitalised after Savonetta crash

Four persons, including a 13-month-old baby boy of Couva remained warded in serious condition at the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH), following a smash up in Savonetta, Friday night. According to police sources, around 8.20 pm, Stanley Mansingh, 31, was driving his car north along the Southern Main Road, Savonetta, in the vicinity of Phoenix Park Junction when a station wagon driven by Neil Ramkumarsingh, 20, exited from the Phoenix Park Road, hitting the left rear side of Mansingh’s car.


On impact, Mansingh, his wife, Debbie, 28, and their baby, Bickram, all of Rivulet Road, Couva and another occupant, 19-year-old Deochan Lalla of Dow Village, California suffered serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital where they were all treated and warded. Ramkumarsingh of Grant Street, Rousillac, reportedly sustained no injuries. Cpl Garnet Mohammed and PC Ian Bobb of the Couva Police are continuing enquiries.
