Connection, Starworld draw 1-1

W CONNECTION and Starworld Strikers battled to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night, at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella as action in the T&T Pro League continued. Striker Andre Toussaint, the 2002 League’s MVP, put Connection in front in the 25th minute to the delight of a small, but appreciative crowd, before midfielder Marlon Stoute levelled the scores for Starworld in the 89th. North East Stars remained atop the standings despite being held to a goalless draw at home to Arima/Morvant Fire at the Sangre Grande Recreation Ground. Back-to-back champs CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh remain six points behind the league leaders after they earned a come-from-behind 1-1 draw against Defence Force at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo. Striker Odelle Armstrong put the Army-Coast Guard combination ahead after 16 minutes of play before former national captain Travis Mulraine responded for Jabloteh in the 73rd.
