Only guiltless should throw stones
THE EDITOR: The Keith Rowley issue has really raised some questions in my mind about the Opposition and what they consider to be corruption. I say if Rowley is found guilty he should be penalised. Now the UNC agrees that most emphatically, however they don’t see guilt on their side of the fence as being punishable in any way, and this bothers me. Is it that the goose and the gander in the ethnic divide have different parameters for morality? Is stealing large sums from state organisations acceptable because it is not someone’s pocket?
These people scare me! The temporary opposition senator who stood up to lambaste Rowley should hang his head in shame as he must know of the extent of the corruption of the UNC government. It is indeed a sad day for this country that pot can truly call kettle black so vehemently, hoping to influence the population to chastise another questionable action. We the people of this country have to get up and reject the opportunists who are spawned by politics. Only those who are without guilt should stand and cast stones, and I am afraid that this is not a position shared by the Opposition who are technically the Government in waiting.
