Hotel can mar tourism

THE EDITOR: I am very concerned at the way in which Public Health Department and local authorities handle issues relating to public health and safety of its people and visitors to the island. Their attitude is one of complete irresponsibility! A hotel on the island had several outbreaks of food poisoning since August. After many positive tests by the Department of Public Health over the last three months, this hotel is still open for business. To date their food still tests positive for contamination. What exactly is going on? Why are certain people in local government covering up? We have to protect not only our people but also all our visitors, so that they will leave our island with happy memories, not with a holiday from hell
