Davis, King advance in St Vincent ITF Doubles
The pair, seeded fourth, produced a convincing 6-3, 6-1 result over Beatrice Braun (Germany)/ Myka Williams (St Vincent) to progress.
In the same division however, Trinidad and Tobago athlete Emma Rose Trestrail and regional partner Sanaa Hewitt (Barbados) were ousted 1-6, 7-6 (7) by Vincentian duo Amarlia Benn/Gabrielle Benn.
In other Doubles matches on Tuesday, Scott Hackshaw also booked himself a spot in the quarter-final round as he teamed up with Bahamian Donte Armbrister to cruise past Vincentians Luke Browne/Alexander Cyrus 6-0, 6-1.
Hackshaw also showed good form in the Boys Singles by progressing to the round of 16 with a 6-4, 1-6, 6-0 win over Andy Sun (Canada).
Compatriot Nabeel Mohammed advanced in similar stride as he swept Carmold Murray 6-0, 6-0 of the host nation.
In the Girls Singles, Anya King was the only TT athlete to move on to the second stage of competition as she beat Vincentian Myka Williams 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
Bowing out of this division was Davis, losing 0-6, 0-6 to fifth seed Kennedy Bridgforth (USA) while Carissa Rudolfo was outplayed by the same score against Sydney Clarke (Bahamas).
