Isle Be True, Top Of The Class head handicaps

ISLE BE TRUE and Top Of  The Class were handed topweight for the two turf  handicaps on the Arima Race Club Day 33 card at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, on Saturday. The five-year-old Isle Be True was allotted 58.5 kilos in the Restricted Handicap over 1100 metres, while Top Of The Class, last year’s triple crown winner, was handed 56.5 kilos for the Handicap 1 and Lower race over 1700 metres. In the dash,  Isle Be True will be conceding four kilos to Bandinthong and as 18.5 kilos to bottom-weight Full Of Promises. Also holding this engagement are speed-merchants Sure Wager with 53 kilos, Java Takeover 52.5 kilos and Twice The Jet 51.5 kilos.

Fantastic Story will enjoy only a .5 kilo advantage from trainer Glenn Mendez’ stable star, and Jack Debiodeen-trained Outswinger gets two kilos. Following this trio with identical weights — 54 kilos — are Twice Infallible and Dottie’s Way. Tactical Bid with 52 kilos is next on the handicap, followed by the consistent Alert The Ship with 51.5 kilos and the vastly improved This Cat Is Back 50.5 kilos. Completing the ten-horse field are Sure Ting with 46 kilos and Royal Miss at the foot of the handicap with the penny stamp 44.5 kilos. Weights were also allotted to all entrants in both races should their respective events be run off on  the main course. Should the events be shifted to the sand course, the topweights remain the same.
