Rowley is scaring me

FYZABAD MP Chandresh Sharma admitted yesterday he is getting “scared” of Diego Martin West MP Dr Keith Rowley.  He accused Housing Minister Rowley of talking violence at a meeting with his Diego Martin West constituents on Sunday and his comments were compounding the tearoom fracas. Sharma said of greatest concern to him was Rowley’s declaration that he is “from Mason Hall” and when he beats Sharma “there will be no question about it.” He told Newsday he considered those remarks to be “words of violence” and Rowley was “brassface” to boast to his constituents about the incident.

Statements recorded by the police about the alleged scuffle between Rowley and Sharma in the tearoom at the Red House were submitted to Director of Public Prosecutions Geoffrey Henderson for further action. Sharma reported to the police that Rowley poked him in the chest and as a result he had to seek medical attention at Port-of-Spain General Hospital. The matter is currently before the Privileges Committee of  Parliament. Sharma said he considered Rowley’s statements on Sunday to be a breach of the Committee’s investigations.
