Stop practice at ministries
I would like to know who mandated this policy whereby citizens can be denied service at a public institution simply because of they way in which they are dressed. Will my bare arms arouse all the male employees and interfere with their ability to carry out their duties? Will they interpret my bare arms as a sign of disrespect to their so-called important positions?
What is next? All women’s heads should be covered, no women in pants, no colours of any political parties etc? It becomes a slippery slope if these various ministries and government departments appoint themselves to be the fashion police. It is time to challenge this arbitrary nonsense. We are the employers of every minister and public officer in this country; they work for us, not vice versa. No one should be denied access to service at any government agency because of his or her attire.
