But it will not impact on the race itself for the leading West Indies-bred three-yearolds over the 2000 metres trip.
Arima Race Club is planning a spectaculasr day’s racing.
Their 10-race programme also features the $150,000 Diamond Stakes a Grade 2 extended 1350 metres sprint and the $100,000 Derek Cozier Classic.
A 1200 metres sprint for West Indies-bred three-year-olds.
It is heartening to note, that the Union Park Turf Club (UPTC) has donated $50,000 to the day’s card.
Winning owners will continue to receive trophies, while grooms of best turned out horses have also been catered for.
For the turfites prefering the Hi5, they will have their guaranteed $50,000 pool on the fifth race, to which a single winner bonus of over $12,000 is added.
The Superfecta single winner bonus which starts from the first race timed to be run at 11.45 am has a bonanza of over $54,000, while there is a Place 8 carry over of over $6,000.
The ARC has not forgotten the children, as they will provide horseback riding, bouncy castle and face painting
