‘PH’ driver rapes woman

The victim reported to that she boarded a vehicle driven by man who she asked to take her to Chaguanas.

According to the victim, at around 8.30 am, she sat in the rear passenger seat and waited to be dropped off in Chaguanas.

However, the driver proceeded to Endeavour Gardens where he parked the vehicle in a lonely area and proceeded to sexually assault the victim. The man then robbed the victim of her handbag which contained $300 and ger cell phone.

The woman was able to walk out and alerted residents who assisted her.

The Chaguanas police were alerted and the victim was taken to a disrict medical officer where she was examined Chagunas police were given a full description of the susect and police believe that an arrest is imminent.

Yestrday senior officers called on the members of the travelling public to exercise the necessary precautions when travelling in PH cars.
