Taekwondo duo off to US camp

While in Chicago, their taekwondo strategies and techniques will be further advanced by US coaches, Jeffrey Williams and Christina Bayley.

Thirteen-year-old Elliott, of Fatima College, and ten-yearold Darlington, of Maria Regina Grade School, currently hold national titles in their respective divisions. Elliot and Darlington continue to achieve outstanding results in both local and international taekwondo tournaments.

Elliott represented TT at the 2015 World Championships in Muju, South Korea, where he glory to his nation, while attaining individual prominence within his division.

He is currently in training for the 2017 World Championships where his eyes are set on being crowned champion. Darlington has established himself as a powerhouse in taekwondo after winning gold at several international open tournaments, and most recently medalling at the Pan Am International Taekwondo Championships in Mexico in June earlier this year.

Darlington is well-poised to have a very successful 2017.

Elliot and Darlington are excited about the camp and see it as an important step in their journey to the 2020 and 2024 Olympics, respectively.
