Browne stars at Elite Pan Am Cycling
In the qualifying round Browne stopped the clock in 9.708 seconds to qualify with the fourth fastest time. Njisane Phillip is the only TT cyclist to go faster as the two-time Olympian currently holds the national record of 9.643.
Browne then defeated Mexican Edgar Verdugo to advance to today’s quarter-finals where he will face Canadian Stefan Ritter.
In other cycling news, Keiana Lester earned bronze for TT in the women’s sprint at the Milton International Challenge in Canada which was held from September 29 to October 1.
Top national junior cyclist Nicholas Paul captured bronze in the men’s keirin at the UCI CL2 Fenioux France Trophy tournament in France which was held in September.
