Santa Rosa progress in Super League knockout
Rashad Griffith put Santa Rosa ahead in the 44th minute at the Marvin Lee Stadium in Macoya.
J’deem Parris evened the scores in the 78th but Kevon Cornwall notched the winner for Santa Rosa, six minutes later.
Also advancing to the last four were Bethel United, who edged fellow Tobago-based team Youth Stars 1-0 at Mt Pleasant. Teejay Cadiz was the goal-getter for Bethel, in the 59th. Police ended Petrotrin Palo Seco’s quest for a semi-final spot courtesy of a 2-1 result at the Palo Seco Velodrome. Real Dedier (32nd) and ex-TT midfielder Trent Noel (85th) found the back of the net for Police, while Romauld Aguillera responded for Palo Seco in the 77th.
And, at the Dibe Recreation Ground in Long Circular, St James, 1976 FC Phoenix took care of Carenage United by a 3-1 scoreline.
Dominic McDougall (30th), Dominique Kerr (70th) and Trevonne James (75th) were on target for Phoenix, while Curtis Noel (62nd) scored for Carenage.
Semi-final action is slated to take place on October 19.
