Suicide in front PoS General
While relatives were reluctant to speak to members of the media yesterday, pathologists told Newsday that the man, identified as Leonard Alexis, had a large quantity of insecticide in his stomach when pathologists checked the contents of the internal organ.
Pathologists then determined that the cause of death was suicide by poisoning.
Newsday understands that during the day on Thursday, Alexis was found in front the hospital, frothing at the mouth. He was quickly rushed to the emergency room, but died a short while later, despite the efforts of doctors on duty.
After Alexis was pronounced dead, his body was transferred to the Forensic Science Centre in St James, for an autopsy to determine cause of death.
