Campbell pedals to time trial gold

Campbell, who was making her debut at the Championships, stopped the clock in 34 minutes and 39.76 seconds to capture the top prize in the 22-kilometre event. Campbell, who only recently started competing in the women’s senior division, finished more than two minutes ahead of the Guadeloupe duo of Laura Gueppois (37:05.58) and Christel Martinez (37:07.55).

TT cyclist Akil Campbell finished fifth in the Under-23 division of the men’s time trial event, and 10th overall among the elite men, in 43:53.22.
