Providence meet St George’s for final spot

PROVIDENCE will be looking to advance to the final of the RBTT Girls Intercol football competition when they meet the highly-fancied St George’s in today’s semis at the St Anthony’s College Ground, Westmoorings. Kick-off time is 3.30 pm. Providence advanced to the last four with a 4-1 whipping of Moruga at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella on Friday last while St George’s spanked Corpus Christi 3-0 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo last Saturday.

The other semi-final will be contested tomorrow with back-to-back champs Malick squaring off against Arima Senior Comprehensive at the QRC Ground, St Clair at 3 pm. Malick thrashed Maple Leaf 7-0 at the St Anthony’s Ground on Tuesday while Arima needed kicks-from-the-penalty spot to defeat St Joseph’s Convent, Port-of-Spain 3-2 after both teams had battled to a 3-3 scoreline after full-time. The final will be held on Tuesday at a venue to be announced.
