Flow sponsors Rincon Rainforest Race

An initiative by Life Is Ah Limited and sponsored by Flow Trinidad, the run/walk event will be set against the backdrop of the beautiful forested landscape of Rincon Village, North Coast Road. A race for everyone, from the veteran competitor to the fitness enthusiast to the casual walker, it will embody elements of fitness, fun and environmental sustainability as participants will plant a tree after the race in commemoration of the environment and its fit into a balanced healthy life style.

The race custodian, Life Is Ah Beach Limited, is a strong advocate for health and wellness and comprises of a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to promoting strategies for the achievement of a healthy balanced lifestyle for communities through fitness, fun, adventure and appreciation the natural environment.

In view of the high rates of Obesity and Lifestyle Diseases such as Heart Disease and Hypertension in Trinidad and Tobago, the group saw the Flow R3 concept as critical in the quest for a healthier TT .

“The Flow R3 race is a good opportunity for awareness of the importance of managing one’s health through simple, inexpensive but effective means which incorporate fun, fitness and nature.

The race will be phenomenal in its mission to not only provide a forum for competition but one to enlighten and highlight the benefits of physical exercise and the core value of conservation,” stated Keeda Pantin, Brand and Events Manager for Flow Trinidad. “Flow is dedicated to not only bringing high valued affordable services to clients but also alternatives for a healthy lifestyle,” she added.

The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Physical Training Department, in keeping with the Defence Force’s philanthropic mandate of community development through sport and fitness, will also be assisting in the race to ensure safety and quality.

Other sponsors for the race - Cheryl Ryan Mohammed of Its Ah Wrap, Beach Concepts by C Designs who designs and produces branded beach wear, LIZBLIZ Entertainment, Caribbean Awards and School Supplies, Mikes Bikes Limited and Rainbow Warriors Triathlon Club are equally enthusiastic as there will be surprise acts at the race such as Fitness Addicts Movement (FAM) Dance Fitness CEO Daniel Philip.

“The concept of a healthy in a healthy body is the philosophy of Flow R3 and this mantra is a major commitment of FAM. Our new Dance For Fitness techniques will spice up the race and I assure you patrons will be pleased,” Philip contends.

Derron Roberts of Anatomie WI FIT, a fitness instructor and fitness entrepreneur who will be doing the cool down session after the race and serving some of his signature healthy fruit smoothies to patrons of the race also endorses Philip’s remarks.

“This race will be epic as good health through a balanced lifestyle is communicated to one and all,” he said.

The categories of Flow R3 will comprise of Open Men, Open Women and Teams (of four - mixed and single sex) and participants will get medals, attractive prizes and a new perspective on life.
