Why no weekend staff at community pool?

THE EDITOR: After three years and many letters and hardship encountered by parents and children the swimming pool in Sangre Grande is finally opened again. However on my visit to this pool, I was informed that the pool is open Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 am to 3 pm and not on weekends. On further inquiry as to why this is so, I was informed that there is no staff to man the pool on weekends and after 3 pm on weekdays. Could someone tell me when students and working parents are to use the pool? To the majority of users of this pool it seems as though the pool is still down.

In this oil rich country no staff to work at a community swimming pool. How ironical, especially so when our Prime Minister is promising hundreds of millions of dollars to other countries. Come on Mr Boynes, the Honourable Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs and Member of Parliament for Toco/Manzanilla, you can do better than that. Remember fix me first. What about we care!
