THE EDITOR: Please allow me space in your newspaper to direct some comments to the PSA and its President: As a financial member of the PSA, please allow me to comment on the issue involving Health Minister John Rahael and his son. I do not believe the PSA should get involved in this type of politics, because I do not see how the membership benefits from it.

I think involvement in this type of politics is best left for Mr Panday and his UNC party. Further, I strongly object to using the union’s finances which include my monthly dues, to take this matter to court. It is my belief that a trade union exists for the purpose of seeking the interests of its members, and not to usurp the role of the political opposition. Please let us get our priorities right.
