‘Pres’ join San Juan in Intercol final

‘Pres’ booked their place in the title match yesterday with a 5-3 victory on penalty kicks over Signal Hill at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella.

Presentation College were perfect in their five kicks while Jabari Francis pulled his shot wide of the left post on Signal Hill’s fourth kick, opening the door for Omari Baird to seal the victory for ‘Pres’.

Earlier, Presentation College went ahead from a powerful header from Matthew Joseph off an inswinging Jordan Riley corner in the 80th minute.

But Signall Hill responded immediately on a counter-attack to send the match into penalty kicks.

Renaldo Samuel had the simple task of tapping the ball in from six yards after the Presentation goalie spilled a vicious shot in front his goal.

Joseph almost headed tin the winner in the 90th minute but his effort was cleared off the line.

San Juan advanced to the final with a 4-1 rout of Trinity College on Wednesday courtesy a beaver-trick from Renaldo Boyce despite playing the majority of the contest with 10 men. They will also be without their skipper Lukeman Brooks who picked up a red card in that game.
