Gangster music is our daily prayer

THE EDITOR: It has been said, “many will turn away from the faith and betray and hate each other; because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.” My fellow youth, we are definitely expressing a violent, ignorant, cold-hearted behaviour for one another. Why do we perform such inhuman acts? I believe we have lost all our Christian principles and we are spiritually blind. We do not have any honour or respect for God the Almighty. Have we been created by a satanic being? We do not recognise our purpose. Sometimes we use excuses, that we need love and support. These words do not come close to what we portray. Where is this hatred coming from? I believe it all starts with us hating ourselves. Violence and ignorance are now overcoming our lives.

Are we aware of this? It has been said, “love one another as I have loved you, this is the greatest commandment of all.” This biblical reference has no more value in our daily lives. The present day youth worship music artistes, we use “gangster” music as our daily prayer and obscene language as our most pleasant remark. Does this make us valuable people? All we seek is war and revenge against each other. It has been said, “do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath.” The wrath shall come today, sooner or later, but it will be done. We are very brave and macho for our friends and family, but can they save us? The prince of evil is here, only for a short period of time. He is seeking us who are haters of humanity and those who are easily tempted. I must say be good, be kind and love one another. Let us abstain from our wicked, mischievous ways and secure ourselves with positive minds.
