Houses in Canan cemetery

THE EDITOR: At first I could not believe what I was reading in a daily newspaper. It sounded like a scene from a gothic, horror story; a scene that could only happen in Transylvania next to Count Dracula’s castle.  But after rubbing my eyes and reading it again I realised that it was really happening right here in Trinidad, in Canan, south of San Fernando. They are excavating a cemetery to use the land to build houses for their supporters! 

In the process many human bones and skeletal remains have been unearthed. So this is how low they are prepared to go to house pad! They have no qualms about desecrating a cemetery. No respect for the dead. The dead cannot rest in peace.  If this is their agenda then I won’t be surprised if they next turn to Paradise Cemetery in San Fernando or even the Shore of Peace!  This is what I would describe as bizarre  self-interest disguised as national interest!  This is lawlessness to the highest level. Wake up, Trinidad!
