What is happening to our little girls?

THE EDITOR: I want to express my views on the behaviour and dress code of little girls of this country. What is going on with our little girls these days? As young as standard four students are sexually active in Trinidad and Tobago. Do these little girls have any idea how this may impact on their lives? The older men are taking advantage of these little girls and I think it is time that the police of this nation open their eyes and see what is becoming a disaster in Trinidad and Tobago.

Some of these little girls have no behaviour whatsoever and their dress code is really atrocious. Why do parents allow their “precious ones” to go out dressed half naked? I always ask myself these questions when I come face to face with one of them. Is it the parents’ faults that these little girls are dressing like that or is it that the parents are to busy to take time and see what is going on in the lives of their children. Parents, I am pleading to you to take time and intermingle with your children. Get involved in their lives and help them be the children you would like them to be.
