Waiting on Mr Manning

THE EDITOR: I just have one quick question for the Prime Minister. He says that his overly generous sharing of the patrimony of Trinidad and Tobago to benefit the other countries of the Caribbean, will ultimately be of worth to us. How is this so? I would like him to elaborate on this, since at this time all I see are major advantages to the countries at the receiving end, and his own ego, resulting in less money to assist the dire needs of our country.

Furthermore, the PNM needs to be more definitive about their thrust towards the Caribbean Single Market Economy (CSME) with regard to once more, who is going to end up footing the major expenses? If the economies in most of the Caribbean islands are supposedly weak at this time, is Trinidad and Tobago once again going to be the one holding up everyone? How does this benefit us? We await Mr Manning’s response.
