Let us not forget Miss Thom

THE EDITOR: It would be nice if our Government gave Miss Kenisha Thom, our beauty pageant representative in China a more than normal “welcome back home.” It was not our people who gave her top rating, but the foreign judges. It was also felt that because of the computer voting system she could not place higher. In fact, if that system is not changed, we should seriously consider not sending any contestant when the final judgment is dependent on the computer voting aspect. Now, there are no sour grapes here. It is the system and no small country representative could ever win. The fact is she was good enough to win. We must make her feel that she was a winner.
