Petit Valley teen abducted

A $700,000 ransom has been demanded for the release of Petit Valley teenager Stellon Davis. According to reports, around 3 pm on Monday, the form five St James Secondary School student, aged 16, left his Palm Drive, West Petit Valley home to go to nearby Covigne Road. Around 8 pm, his relatives received a call from a man demanding $700,000 for his release.

Efforts to speak to his father Stephen Davis, owner of Firefighters Protection and Equipment Services on Thomas Drive, Petit Valley were unsuccessful. When contacted, a woman said he was giving no interviews to the media because it could endanger his son’s life. police sources said, “The investigations are delicate and sensitive and they could not release any more information.” They refused to explain what that meant. Anti-Kidnapping Squad sources said all the information they have is what the media has.

A team of investigators headed by ASP Joseph and including Sgt Issac, Herbert and Cpl Nesbitt of the AKS, are investigating. Davis’ kidnapping is the third in the East West corridor in eight days. Last week Monday Brian Bedase was kidnapped from his Tacarigua home, but rescued on Tuesday morning. Several suspects were arrested and charged. On Tuesday night, businesswoman Michelle Rostant was kidnapped outside her Port-of-Spain businessplace and rescued on Wednesday evening. Six men were held and later released after Rostant dissapeared.
