Feature races target for ace trainer John O’Brien
O’Brien will saddle three winners in each of the races, the 1600 metres turf event, the Champion Stakes for three-year-olds and over.
Magical Victory, third in the Tanglewood Stakes in Barbados last month and Trini Navigator fifth in the prestigious Barbados Gold Cup along with Howsweetitis will carry his hopes in the Chmpion.
And he attacks the Infallibility Stakes for Wet Indies-bred three-yearolds over 1750 metres with Rocket Wheels, Leading Lady and Lord Silver.
It will be a 10-race programme on Gloria Saturday with large and quality fields, which will test the knowledge of turfites to the hilt.
Only last Saturday, one lucky turfite left Santa Rosa Park with a cheque for $62,328.10 on the popular Hi5.
As a result, however, that Hi5 single winner bonus has dipped to just $2,400.00, that along with the $50,000 guaranteed pool.
Also, a single winner on the Superfecta last Saturday pocketed a hefty cheque for $131,069.90 for spotting the combination of Make Some Noise, Well Connected, Lancelot and Impression.
This time around, however, the Superfecta single winner bonus is now just $375.36.
But the Pick 6 carryover has now reached a handsome $4,409.10.
Saturday’s public holiday 10-race programme is timed to get underway at noon.
