Regiment mourns patriotic soldier
Private Hernandez enlisted in the Regiment on March 1, 2007 and served his country with honour for ten years. After he completed basic recruit training at Teteron Barracks, “this patriotic soldier”, was posted to Alpha Company, 1st Infantry Battalion, Long Circular Road in St James.
“On behalf of the Acting Commanding Officer of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment Colonel Dexter Francis, officers, men and women of the Regiment extend deepest condolences to the wife, children and family of Private Hernandez.
May they receive the strength, guidance and support from relatives and friends during their time of grief.
“The Regiment is in contact with the family and the Regiment will assist them during this time of bereavement.
The Regiment Flag will be flown at half-mast at all Regiment Units on Tuesday and on the day of the funeral. Funeral arrangements will be announced when they are finalised,” the death notice stated.
