Thomas is Jabloteh ‘MVP’

TRINIDAD and Tobago defender Keyeno Thomas was voted as the “Most Valuable Player” of the CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh’s football team for the year. Thomas earned the accolade during the club’s 31st annual award ceremony at the Ballroom of the Cascadia Hotel, St Ann’s on Monday night. Jabloteh earned a mixed season, when their senior outfit placed third in the T&T Pro League and were the runners-up in the First Citizens Cup tournament. But their Under-14 squad were victorious in the Pro League and the national Under-14 competition, which was sponsored by the Unit Trust Corporation (UTC).

Delivering the feature address at the function was club chairman Jerry Hospedales, who heaped praises on CL Financial Limited chairman Lawrence Duprey. Hospedales noted that Duprey’s “foresight and sense of social responsibility has allowed him to identify his corporate organisation with one of the most underprivileged communities in the area.” Also receiving special mention by Hospedales were the Board of Directors, in particular Prakash Bhaggan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of First Citizens’ Bank Larry Howai and United States Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago Roy Austin.
