Doctors reattach woman’s ear
DOCTORS have successfully reattached the left ear of Penal mother Rajendai Ramlakhan, 31, but were up to yesterday hoping for a Christmas miracle for the woman’s husband’s right hand to show signs of life. Hardeo, 35, and his wife were chopped about their bodies in a brutal attack Friday morning in which the husband’s right hand was hacked off including four of his fingers.
The incident happened at the couple’s Sunrees Branch Road home. Police are searching for the assailant. The man chopped both husband and wife over 20 times about their bodies. The incident occurred around 2 am. The couple has three children Niala, 12, Leela, nine and Shalini, three. Police investigators told Sunday Newsday that doctors reattached Hardeo’s hand but they diagnosed its condition as having a slim chance of life. The fingers were not reattached.
