St Augustine notch 10-wicket win over Open Campus

St Augustine won the toss and inserted Open Campus to bat and they were skittled out for only 53 runs from 18.1 overs.

The only batsman to record double figures for Open Campus was Jamaal James with 17 runs.

The eventual Player of the Match Omari Whiskey had bowling figures of three wickets for 11 runs while ex-national youth player Jovan Ali had 3/10. The opening pair for the Trinidad-based squad wasted little time in chasing down the modest total as it only took Brandon Ramdial and Andy Gobin 27 balls to record their second win in as many games.

Ramdial was the aggressor by scoring 46 runs from 15 balls including two fours and four sixes while Gobin had eight runs from 12 balls.

A victory tomorrow over Cave Hill will ensure that St Augustine would be crowned champions.

St Augustine remained on track to defend their table-tennis title as they defeated Cave Hill 6-1 yesterday at the Barbados Table Tennis Center.

The St Augustine male football team would not defend their trophy this year as they lost 1-0 to Cave Hill, their second defeat in as many games.

The male Pelicans squandered numerous chances in both halves and paid by the price in the 65th minute when Cave Hill scored the game-winner.

The St Augustine female team still have a chance at the title as they won by default against Open Campus.

The first day of Volleyball action did not go as planned for the male and female St Augustine teams as they both lost to Mona campus.

The male team were defeated in a nerve-wrecking 3-2 game while the female lost 3-1. They hope to rebound when they both face Cave Hill today
