Heartthrob Aditya performs at Macoya

He will be performing alongside Udit and his mother Deepa Narayan at the Centre of Excellence in Macoya tomorrow at 7 pm.

Aditya’s first playback song was in 1992 for the film Rangeela, when he teamed up with Asha Bhosle. In 1995 he performed in the film Akele Hum Akele Tum (AHAT) along with Udit. In 1995 he acted in the films. Pardes, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Mahima Chaudhary.

His second film was Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Ha’ starring Salman Khan and Twinkle Khanna.

He won Best Supporting Actor for AHAT at the 1999 Zee Cine Awards. As a child artist, Aditya performed over 100 songs and also released the album Aditya at Polygram Music (now Universal Music).

His most successful song was Chhota Baccha Jaan Ke from the film Masoom in 1996.

It also earned him his first major film award, the Screen Awards critics’ Best Child Singer in 1997. He also received a special jury award at the Screen Awards as best child singer for the same song.

In 2006 he completed a diploma in English contemporary music at Tech Music Schools, in London. On his return to India, he was called to audition for TV competition show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and he became the anchor for that show. In April/May 2008 he toured North America and the Caribbean with Udit.

In 2009 Aditya signed his first film as lead actor for Shaapit, directed by Vikram Bhatt, which was released worldwide in 2010. He sang four songs and also wrote and composed the title track for the film, Shaapit Hua.

He continued working as a TV host, hosting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2008 and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009. In 2011, he hosted the reality show X Factor on Sony Entertainment Television.

In early 2012 Aditya joined Sanjay Leela Bhansali as an assistant director for the producer/director’s next directorial venture, Ram Leela. He also performed two songs for the film Tattad Tattad which was originally supposed to be performed by his father Udit, and Ishqaun Dhishqyaun. Both the music and the movie received a positive response from critics and audiences alike.

In 2014 he released his first independent single Tu Hi Pyar Hai with Gabriella Demetriades. He created a band called The A team in June 2014.

Raymond Ramnarine and the band Dil-E-Nadan will also be performing in tomorrow’s show.

Raymond will be doing the popular Jag Ghoomeya Na Koyi, Tere Saang Yara, Oh Zalima, Udi Udi Jaaye, Barish, Ek Vari Yaa’r and Raabta and Koun Tujhe.

Promoters Missy and “R” will be putting Udit and Raymond on stage together for this Father’s Day concert.

They will be doing the hits songs Aaj Mausam Hai Baraa, Chand Mera Dil, Baharon Phool, Yeh Reshmi Zulfein, Jo Wada Kiya Woh, Khush Rahe Tu Sada and Yeh Duniya Yeh Mehfil.

Udit is known for singing one of the most popular songs from Bollywood, Mehndi Lagake Rakhn’ from the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

He has a huge following here and in the Caribbean. He also sang the mega hit songs, Oh I Love You Daddy with Aditya.

This song is from the film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. He sang the popular songs, Pardesi Pardesi from the film Raja Hindustani.

Main Yahan Hoon and Aisa Des Hai Mera. Bollywood’s Shah Rukh Khan has been portraying Udit songs in the movies Darr, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Ha, Dil To Pagal Hai, Mohabbatein, Swades and Veer Zaara.
