Guapo man on cocaine charge

A 27-year-old Guapo man was arrested and charged on New Year’s Day for the possession of cocaine and is expected to appear before a Point Fortin magistrate today. According to police sources, around 4.30 pm police officers attached to the Siparia CID, led by Cpl Straker and supported by PC Williams and WPC Paul, executed a search warrant at a dwelling house at Lawrence Street, Gonzales Village, Guapo.

Upon searching the house, a reported quantity of cocaine rocks, weighing 17 grammes, was found and the suspect was subsequently arrested and charged. He is due to stand before Point Fortin First Court senior magistrate Herbert Charles to answer to his charges.
