SWWTU and Angostura reach agreement on some issues

Speaking with Newsday after the two and a half hour-long meeting, held at Angostura’s head office, Eastern Main Road, Laventille, Jodhan said, “We just had a very productive meeting.” “I’m pleased to report that we have reached an agreement on certain time frames for addressing various issues raised by the union.” Those issues include the SWWTU’s previously reported dissatisfaction with the level of communication between the company’s staff and its executive manager of human resources and administration.

“This meeting was called with an aim to resolve issues, reconcile and plan the way forward together as Angostura continues to focus on growing our rum, bitters and Amaro (Amaro di Angostura) business locally and globally,” Jodhan said.
